Annual State of NASA Procurement Report Financial Year 2022

In previous years, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Office of Procurement (OP) published two separate reports; The State of NASA Procurement Report, which covered narrative accomplishments throughout the calendar year, and the Fiscal Year Annual Procurement Report, which covered financial year metrics. For 2022, OP combined these two into one report and included Center spotlights to provide better insights and analysis in a single report of over 100 pages.

The design of this report and the final pdf are both 508-compliant and created with accessibility in mind. It was published in spring of 2023.

Deliverables: 508-compliant report design

Throughout the report, the Office of Procurement (OP) branding is used to create cohesion with the office’s other materials, while also following the official National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) brand guidelines.

The cover of the report features an image from the Artemis launch that happened at the end of 2022.

Important fiscal year data is visualized.

Each section of the report is color coded with four of OP’s brand colors. The sections begin with an introduction from the division director.

For the Procurement Office Location Highlights section, each center is highlighted with a photo that relates to them, and then a breakdown of important information, accomplishments, and financial information from the previous year. The center’s Procurement Officer is highlighted at the beginning of the section as well.

In the appendix of the report, additional information about the countries NASA’s Office of Procurement serves are visualized.
